A little about The Midland
This premium pub, bar, and restaurant is the ideal place to enjoy a spot of al fresco dining during the summer months. After all, there is nothing better than a sun-drenched cocktail in the sunshine.
Allowing you to dine in style overlooking the idyllic River Goyt, The Midland offers a fantastic menu incorporating a wide variety of starters, mains, light bites, sharing platters, and devilish desserts. You’ll be spoilt for choice and even the toughest food critics will be suitably impressed!
We are also a child friendly establishment, so please feel free to bring your little ones along.
If you’re driving, there is also plenty of car parking available.

The Midland, Marple Bridge, is easily accessible by local public transportation links.
It’s only a four minute walk from The Midland to Marple Bridge train station, where there are direct links to Manchester Piccadilly.
Frequent bus services (383/384) run through the village from Stockport and there are also hourly services from Derbyshire and Glossop. Please check local timetables for accurate bus time information.
The M56, M60 and M67 are nearby for road travel from further afield.

Located in the beautiful village of Marple Bridge, The Midland is surrounded by things to see, do, and explore.
Set within miles of vast, open countryside, Marple Bridge is the perfect place to enjoy a long walk or a brisk stroll on a summer’s day. As you explore the area, make sure you take in the spectacular Marple Locks. This flight of 16 locks is one of the steepest in Britain!
The nearby Roman Lakes Leisure Park is another great spot for walking, cycling, fishing, and canoeing. Of course, after all that walking, you’ll probably have worked up a healthy appetite. The Midland is the perfect place to refresh and refuel before you continue on your journey.
In the neighbouring town of Stockport, you’ll find a whole host of activities and attractions, whilst the vibrant city of Manchester is also within easy reach.
